  Assalamu aleikom .I am an Egyptian living in sharjah,i have arrived recently and i need to know if there is any islamic centre that helps children memorize Quran for my four kids.And i hope it would be near al wahda street because i don’t have a car.

  Wa laikum salaam Ghada:

  If you have girls and they can go to the nearest masjid that has a ladies section after asr and learn there. It’s free and they will make a friend or two as well.

  For boys there isn’t much. However at the opposite the Wahda Post Office there is a masjid that I know of that teachers boys also after asr. It’s near the end of Al Wahda around the corner from Way In building. If you are coming down Wahda. If you have any other questions contact me, maryam@journalist.com

    yazakAllahu khairan for your helpful information. We where really looking for some answers. We knew that most of the masjids in Sharjah have Quran lessons, but we don’t have any list of timing and other details.

  i have just relocatied to dubai from the uk, and would like to meet with other muslim sisters . I have 2 children ages 9 and 11 at the moment i feel very isolated, i was involved as a volumteer for the muslim womens organisation in th e uk ,and would like to involve myself in the same here in dubai.

  At present we live in USA. My two daughters were born in UAE. AHA, one is married while we are looking an educated and honest Muslim to get married with younger one who is 21. She wears hijab and practice Islam. She performed her hajj last year. She intend to master in Islamic Studies.
  If you prefer to marry an American Islamic girl (we are from Pakistan) please send us your details. Race is not an issue but Pathans are preferred.

  jazakallah sister for replying i was waiting for a reply from you but didnt realise that the email bounced back. my alternative email address is simplyhusna@hotmail.com my search continues in finding other likeminded muslim sisters who i can socialise with and maybe lead long term freindship.
  voluntary work has also been a big part of my life and before moving to dubai i was involved as an activites secretary for the local womens organisation , helping to organise, workshops, focus groups outings etc etc , i was also involved in running training programmes for empowering women. I would love to get more involved with your organisation ,
